Sacred Flight: Geometry, Nature, and Transformation
In this series, I explore the delicate intersections between sacred geometry, the natural world, and the unseen forces of transformation. Using cyanotype prints on fabric, I imprint ephemeral images of butterflies and wildflowers—symbols of fragility, metamorphosis, and fleeting beauty. Over these ghostly impressions, I embroider geometric patterns—concentric triangles, spirals, and seed-of-life formations—that suggest both containment and infinite expansion.
The use of embroidery stitches in gradients of red and yellow colors stitches time. Intention, and physical labor creating a dialogue between the soft organic forms and the structured language of mathematics and spirituality. The ovals that frame each piece evoke talismans or portals, inviting the viewer into a meditative space where the boundaries between science, mysticism, and nature dissolve.
By merging photographic processes with handcraft traditions, I seek to honor the cyclical, interconnected nature of life while celebrating acts of creation, both human and divine. These pieces are not just images; they are living prayers for resilience, transformation, and the enduring beauty of the natural world.
